PRP FACIAL & PRP HAIR TREATMENTS IN NASHVILLE
Ready to rejuvenate your skin naturally? PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) treatment is all the rage!
What is the Procedure? PRP treatment uses your body’s own platelets to stimulate collagen production and promote skin rejuvenation.
Ideal Candidate: If you’re looking to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, or even combat hair loss, PRP treatment is perfect for you. Since it uses your own blood, it’s a safe option for almost anyone.
What to Expect During the Procedure: The procedure involves drawing a small amount of your blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to isolate the PRP, and then injecting or applying it to the target area.
Recovery Information: PRP treatment requires little to no downtime. Some redness or swelling may occur at the injection sites, but it subsides quickly.
Benefits: PRP treatment naturally stimulates collagen production, giving you plumper, more radiant skin. It’s like hitting the refresh button on your complexion!
Similar Nonsurgical Treatment Options: Microneedling with PRP, also known as the “Vampire Facial,” combines the benefits of PRP treatment with the collagen-boosting effects of microneedling.

What is platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy?
Platelet-rich plasma contains concentrated levels of platelets, about three to five times the amount of platelets found in blood circulating in the body. To create platelet-rich plasma, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient’s arm and is placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the plasma. The PRP is then re-injected in small amounts into the dermal layer of the patient’s skin. PRP therapy is known as an autologous treatment because it is created from the patient’s own blood. This regenerative treatment helps reduce the visible signs of aging by stimulating the production of new collagen, regenerating damaged tissues, and increasing blood flow in the treated area.
Common treatment areas:
- Face
- Lips
- Neck
- Backs of the hands
- Décolletage
How many treatments will I need?
We typically recommend at least three treatments spaced about four to eight weeks apart in order to achieve optimal results from PRP therapy. The number of treatments needed to achieve desired results can vary from patient to patient.

When will I see results?
Platelet-rich plasma improves the quality of your skin on a cellular level so the results of the treatment appear gradually. Most patients begin to notice an improvement in the tone and texture of their skin about a month after treatment with optimal results becoming visible about three months following the initial treatment. Results of PRP therapy treatments can last for 18 to 24 months. Results may vary.
Is there any downtime?
PRP therapy treatments have no downtime associated with them. Most patients are able to immediately return to their daily activities following a treatment session.
Are there any side effects?
PRP facial rejuvenation & PRP hair treatments are an autologous treatment, meaning it comes from the patient’s own body, so there is little chance of an adverse reaction. You may experience some minor injection-related side effects like mild bruising, swelling, or irritation at the injection site. These side effects are temporary and typically subside within a week of treatment.

PRP therapy for hair restoration thickens the hair and promotes growth. If you’re unfamiliar with PRP (platelet rich plasma), your blood is drawn (similar to a lab test). Your blood is spun at a high speed in a centrifuge which causes the platelets to separate from the other blood components. The PRP is then injected into the the point of care which in this case would be the scalp.
How does it work?
Platelets in our blood contain growth factors that increase collagen production, regenerate tissue, tighten skin, rejuvenate skin texture, and improve hair regrowth by entering the hair bulb circulation and stimulating the stem cells which promotes changes in the follicle.
Does it hurt?
We use a Zimmer cooler to blow cool air on the injection site during the treatment which helps soothe any discomfort. However, one to two days after treatment, your face may feel tender and tight.
For this long lasting treatment, we recommend 4 treatment sessions separated by 4-6 weeks then 1-2 treatments per year for maintenance.
