HydraFacial is an innovative skincare treatment that is much more than a facial. This treatment is a powerful skincare solution no matter what skin type you have.
What Does a HydraFacial Do For Your Face?
HydraFacial is better than a traditional facial because the exfoliating agent is water–not a harsh abrasive that leaves your skin red and irritated. The unique technology built into the device not only cleanses, exfoliates, and applies intense hydration. Together, the special moisturizing serums reveal brighter, plumper skin.
Since HydraFacial is a medical-grade dermabrasion device, treatments benefit your skin in multiple ways. For example, deep cleansing removes dirt and dead skin cells that clog pores and exacerbate wrinkles.
The treatment also involves an advanced hydration therapy that nourishes your skin in ways that over-the-counter products can’t provide. Just one session can leave you with smoother and more evenly toned skin that absolutely glows.
When you come in for a HydraFacial, it’s three simple yet effective steps performed in less than an hour.
Cleanse & Peel
Extract & Hydrate
Fuse & Protect
When it’s over, you’ll have the best-looking skin you’ve ever had – vibrant and glowing!
Who Provides Nashville HydraFacial Treatments?
HydraFacials at Garza Plastic Surgery are performed by one of our certified aestheticians using the HydraFacial machine. They’ll gently prep your face and neck for the treatment and help you relax. Then, using the specially designed HydraFacial handheld device, they will begin step one of your treatment.
1. CLEANSE & PEEL
Your skin constantly cycles through new and old skin cells, with the oldest cells lingering on the surface of your skin. These cells will naturally slough off, but they can also dull or blur your natural complexion.
HydraFacial pens use a specially designed tip that gently peels and suctions away the dead skin cells from the surface of your skin. This special Vortex-Fusion tip was designed and patented by HydraFacial to gently and effectively exfoliate the surface of your skin.
The device also applies HydraFacial’s proprietary formula of hydrating solutions while removing dirt and dead skin cells.
The great thing about HydraFacial is while your dead skin is lifted away, the special hydrating serums are nourishing and refreshing the new skin underneath!
2. EXTRACT & HYDRATE
The next step focuses HydraFacial’s suctioning power on extracting dirt, oil, and other debris from deep inside your pores while applying a deeply hydrating formula.
Before this phase, your aesthetician will ask you about your recent skincare routine and treatments to avoid applying any irritants to your skin. If you prefer to skip the extraction phase, we can skip right to the hydration phase.
However, extractions will help clear congested pores, remove dead skin cells, and allow the hydration serums to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. Your aesthetician will also use a different tip on the handheld device that will specifically target oil and dirt removal.
Finally, your Nashville aesthetics provider will help you select a serum with your preferred solution of salicylic acid to beautify your skin.
3. FUSE & PROTECT
Finally, we go back over the treatment area to hydrate, infuse, and protect.
First, to prevent dehydration from the cleansers, your aesthetician will apply antioxidants to start reinfuse your skin’s natural moisture.
Next, a hyaluronic acid serum will be applied via the handheld device.
Once your face and neck are covered with the hyaluronic solution, your aesthetician will treat your skin with red LED lights. If you’ve never seen this at work, you might think it sounds hokey, but the red light actually reduces redness caused by tactile stimulation.
The red lights will also help the hydrating solution, which includes hyaluronic acid (HA), permeate into the deeper layers of your skin. Red light also reduces signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles.
Finally, with the HA’s natural hydrophilic properties, moisture will be pulled into your skin, leaving it hydrated, fresh, and dewy. And that’s it!
HydraFacials with Blue Light Therapy
At Garza Plastic Surgery we offer both red and blue LED light therapy treatments with HydraFacials. Our blue light therapy service reduces acne and the severity of acne. So, if you have a serious breakout, or just want to treat your teen to a luxurious facial, ask about HydraFacial!
Additional HydraFacial Treatment Options
Described above is the basic HydraFacial procedure, but another secret as to why it’s so popular is the treatment’s customizable options and perks.
When you come into Garza Plastic Surgery, our Nashville skincare specialists and aestheticians will talk with you about your goals, your skin, and your health history. They’ll then choose the appropriate applicator tip, cleansing solution, hydrating serum, and light treatment for your skin.
Want to give a certain area of your face some extra love and attention? Try an add-on Perk lip or eye treatment. They take about 5 minutes to complete and can be done separately from a full HydraFacial treatment. So if you don’t have time for a full treatment, you can come in for just a quick Perk treatment!
Frequently Asked Questions About HydraFacial
How Will a HydraFacial Feel?
The whole process is non-invasive and gentle on your face. Patients often compare the sensation to microdermabrasion, but gentler due to the hydration.
IS HYDRAFACIAL WORTH IT?
If you’re looking for a treatment that exfoliates, hydrates, and refreshes your skin all at the same time, then this is the treatment for you!
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GET A HYDRAFACIAL?
We recommend scheduling a treatment every four to six weeks if you’re committed to maintaining your results.
Women and men often book a single treatment for a special occasion. Other patients have HydraFacial treatments done as part of an ongoing regimen for the long-term health and radiance of their skin. HydraFacials make for a great one-off treatment too!
We can also recommend some of our favorite skin care products to help you maintain your results.
Why is the HydraFacial Treatment So Popular?
HydraFacial aesthetic treatments at Garza Plastic Surgery in Nashville, TN are a soothing and relaxing luxury for the summer. Not only are they relaxing, but also great for improving the look and feel of your skin.
IS A HYDRAFACIAL BETTER THAN A REGULAR FACIAL?
A regular facial focuses on just hydrating your skin, with a bit of exfoliation depending on the products used. In comparison, HydraFacial provides deep pore cleansing, deep hydration, and skin protection. Better yet, every treatment is customizable so it even works on the most sensitive skin types.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
You will notice results immediately after your treatment. Your skin will be smooth, bright, and refreshed. To keep your results for the maximum amount of time, your aesthetician will recommend the perfect skincare products for your skin.
WILL THERE BE ANY DOWNTIME?
HydraFacial is designed to be gentle enough on your skin so there’s no downtime.
Other aesthetic treatments like dermaplaning, dermarolling, microneedling, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels usually leave your face feeling more sensitive. But not a HydraFacial. The third phase of the treatment even helps protect your skin!
DOES A HYDRAFACIAL REMOVE DARK SPOTS?
Consistent treatments along with a good skincare routine can actively reduce age spots, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots on your face.
